Hey Mike,
I was reading the CLF and found your post. Thought I would check out your new website...looks great, can't wait to see more progress. I moved to Minnesota about 7 yrs ago from AZ. I bought a 67 bug about 2 yrs ago, and have been slowly gather parts for the motor (2276). I went the motor route first and then will work on the body. My plans are to assemble the motor during this winter...break in and drive next spring/summer, and then start on body off the following winter.
I am excited to see the progress on your 67, as I am new to this; and not many acvw/cal-look folks here in Minnesota. I like the explanations with the photos you post. Keep up the good work. Hope to talk with you sometime.
Later- Kel

Hey Kel - Thanks for the post. Most people move from Minnesota to Arizona don't they? hehe Sounds like you got yourself a nice motor. I am thinking either a 2110cc, or 2442cc. I hope to do most of it myself. I have a friend who builds them, so I think he is going to help me, pretty much I do the work. I want to be able to take it out, and if something needs to be fixed/rebuilt, I want to be able to pull it and fix myself. Send me some pictures of your motor when you do it! Have fun in the snow this winter! You're crazy Mike

Welcome Bill May. How's the weather in SD? Been years since I've been out there.

Way to do a project justice. It will turn out great. Hey Bill, it's Hector. I'll be moving down to San Diego from Oceanside in the summer. I'll be stationed at North Island. Sorry about the thread hijack!! Nice forum and web site by the way. Bill knows a bunch about VW's and 67's in particular.

Mike,
Looking good. Keep it up. Can't wait to see it finished. My '66 project will be starting this summer, still too stinkin' windy here in NM. Well talk to you later.
Thanks again for all the helpful info and tips.(Especially the Body Dolly.)
